In many villages people walk long distances for water that is often unsafe to drink, and worshippers arrive at the mosque with no water to make wudu. One well beside the mosque changes life for the entire neighbourhood: clean drinking water, an ablution area ready for every prayer, and reward that keeps flowing to you with every drop.

What the well includes

• A well dug next to a mosque in the areas most in need.
• A hand pump that works at any time.
• A solar-powered pump that lifts water with no electricity or fuel.
• A water tank to store and distribute the water.
• Taps and an ablution area for drinking and wudu.
• A plaque with your name or the name of the person you dedicate it to, plus full photo and video documentation.

Project details

• Cost per well: $750, covering drilling, both pumps, the tank, taps and ablution area.
• Beneficiaries: worshippers and the families living around the mosque.
• Completion time: three weeks from the date of your contribution.
